Illustra problem: Webdatablade + table inheritance?

Hi, While waiting on deliver of IUS, we are attempting to develop some prototypes using Illustra 3.2 (on IRIX 5.3) and the Web blade. Could anyone out there confirm or deny whether the Web blade has problems with selecting from tables which use inheritance? I've experimented directly (i.e. "skipping the middle man" - the Webdriver and Webdaemon) using IQT and the UNIX shell interface, msql and have still been able to reproduce the following problem: 1. Create a table A and a subtable B and populate them with a few test values. 2. At the msql prompt (or using IQT), issuing "select * from A;" works fine (as does "select a from A a;" - jagged output). 3. Now try: return WebExplode('<?misql sql="select * from A;">$*<?/misql>',''); I get "XZ0000:Internal error" and the miserver.log contains about 40 entries starting with "lastditch+0x214" and ending with ":main+0x84". 4. If I repeat the query, I get "MI_LIB_DROPCONN: Server dropped the connection". 5. Further attempts to repeat the query result in XZ0000: Internal errors. Could someone please confirm that I'm not going mad or that there must be something completely screwed up with our installation? Thanks very much, Dara Gallagher. -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet
