That was the perl of wisdom /awk/wardly left out of the reply..... Actually, you can do it without going outside of ACE. If you select count(*) to find out how many rows your SQL is returning AND if you know how many lines each row requires in printing you can figure the number of printable lines (less margins and headers and footers) and derive the total number of pages that way. It's crudek, but mostly effective.
