IDS 9 on Solaris
Here's another thing I'm too lazy to test.
I have a database server on UNIX box 1 which I want to restore to another
UNIX server (box 2). Obviously to use ontape the disk layouts have to be
identical. I'm short of disk on box 2. The IDS server on box 1 has all its
chunks mirrored. If I set up just the primary chunks (and not the mirrors)
on box 2 will the restore work? I'd have thought it would.
Thanks
Neil
OK, I did test it. It did work.
Thanks anywyay.
