Informix 6.0 Debugger problem

We are attempting to build a custom debugger using Informix 6.0 on an HP 9000/700 running HP-UX 9.03. The debugger builds successfully but when we attempt to run it, it returns immediately to the Unix prompt leaving the copyright information on the screen. There is no core file (Informix acknowledges a bug with the debugger on HP-UX with core file generation and we are able to reproduce that bug.) We have a rather large p-code library (on the order of 40000 source lines with approximately 750 functions) and the problem appears to be size related. We can remove some of the p-code library modules and the debugger functions correctly. However, this is not a workable solution for our application. The same custom debugger code and p-code libraries work fine with Informix 5.xx. Has anyone else experience a similar problem? =================== Duane D.
