Fatal error in initializing ASF

Hi. I am trying to get my Informix server online for the first time (on Linux). I have setup SQLHOSTS and ONCONFIG, allocated diskspace for the database and trying to execute /informix/bin/oninit returns: oninit: Fatal error in initializing ASF with 'ASF_INIT_DATA' flags; asfcode ='25507' I have searched the error-code document in Informix Answers Online and haven't found anything related to this that has helped me in any way. Can anyone explain what ASF is and where the reference ASF_INIT_DATA is located (I have used grep through all the files in $INFORMIXDIR and havnt found a single file containing ASF_INIT_DATA) ? Has anyone had this error occur and found a solution to it ? Thanks B. Stefansson bs@hi.is

'ipcs -m' will show you all used shared memory segments. I have to start informix before apache, and sadly enough stop apache to bounce informix... Thomas
