I will check it out in practice. Following a quick check on my OL7.2, I find that in fact the following occurs 1. WHERE clause values exist (i.e no ?s in PREPAREd string) Query plan defined at PREPARE (and outputted to sqexplain.out) 2. WHERE clause values undefined (?s exist in PREPAREd string) Query plan defined at OPEN CURSOR.
