This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Binod Maveli on IDS 7.3 under Windows NT set max_pdqpriority=100 in onconfig and the pdqpriority environment variable, but onstat -g mgm still showed 0. Carlson@WHSmith asked whether the server was restarted; Don Ignacio advised changing it live with onmode and then updating ONCONFIG. Watawinona noted the workgroup edition of 7.3 lacks PDQ. No confirmed resolution.

Hi All,
I have IDS 7.3 under Win NT.,
In the onconfig file I have set the max_pdqpriority=100 and also I have set
the
environment variable pdqpriority=100, when I see onstat -g mgm it still
shows me the
max_pdqpriority=0.
Can anybody pls.tell me the reason or help me out ?
Thx. in advance,
Binod

Instead of resetting the server you can use the onmode command
to set the PDQ parameters. However, once you restart your server
it will use whatever parameters you hav in your ONCONFIG file.
So the best way to do it is use onmode to change it while IDS is online.
And then modify the ONCONFIG file so that when you bring down the
server and bring it back up again it will remember the changes that you made.

the 7.3 comes in two flavors - a regular IDS and a workgroup edition that does
not have pdq.
