Good luck. My personal opinion is that you will find information from two camps: academia and corporate marketing. Academic information is intellectually interesting, but often not applicable in the business world. My favorite source in that realm is http:www.acm.org . They have sigs that specialize in fields like that, and debate ad nauseam the differences. Marketing literature is less interesting, and even less applicable in the world of the DBA. It seems targeted at...well, I don't even know. You get what you pay for, I guess. The best place to get this kind of material is at seminars and User Conferences. And while we are marketing, The Informix WorldWide User Conference is next week in San Francisco. You can gather bushels of literature, and debate at length with the brainy types from Berkely. Oh yeah, you might have some luck with groups such as Gartner and Pat Seybold. They do things like that from time to time. >Thanks, but the book is pretty basic.
