HELP INSTALL INFORMIX

Dear Informix Gurus, I have troubles in installing Informix 5.03 on a Sun Sparc20 running SunOS 4.1.4_DB. Informix sent me softwares in 1/4-inch streaming cartridge tape media which I don't have the driver for. I have to ask a friend to tar the softwares up and "ftp" them over to me. When I untarred these software packages and tried to install them. I got these error message. Installing directory . Installing directory bin Unknown error message number '32766' Installation failed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I look under finderr -32766 Unknown error message number. The software product cannot find the error message text files. Either the INFORMIXDIR or DBLANG environment variable is set incorrectly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I have my INFORMIXDIR set to the directory I want. Anyone has this problem before. Informix Tech Support seems to be clueless. Binh T. Nguyen System Analyst
