security subsystem error

Hello all, I am running ids 7.3 on ntserver4 sp5.. When I go into cmd prompt and run various .exe commands I am getting an error. eg.. when I go into the informixdir\\bin folder and run dbaccess.exe or any of the onxxxx.exe commands I get the following error "Could not initialize the security subsystem. Please ensure that this account has the neccassary privelages" I am logged on with the informix account with Nt admin and informix admin rights.. what could be the issue? ps a similiar errror that referred to subsystem occurred when I ran the export task from iecc .. thanx all.
