Great! Infact this will work. I forgot to mention that (+) is the operator
for outer joins in Oracle therefore the last part of the query would look
like this in Informix:
select V.x, V.y, X.x, X.y
from V, OUTER X
where V.x = X.x
and V.y = X.y;
