C-ISAM

Hi all, Have you people used a library called C-ISAM. I'm not sure but I think it is an Informix product. Can anybody give me some more info on it ? Also the cost of development system/runtime etc.. Actually currently we are using Informix 5.0 and we somehow ended with nested transactions in two different layers of the our software. And the Informix 5.0 doesn't support mulitple Connections so that we could have different connections in different layer of code. Now we are exploring the posiblity of storing data in the lower layer in different way.. May be flat files or different RDBMS....
