Re: Informix Training

I haven't been to Informix training since IBM bought out Informix. But previously, (3-4 years ago), I attended their classes for Performance Tuning, ESQL-C programming, and Stored Procedures. All were good classes, and the instructor named "Glenn" (sorry, I forgot his last name), a 50-ish guy from Australia, was really superior. (Had him for ESQL-C and Stored Procedures). Glenn, if you're out there, could you identify yourself ? Got caught in an unexpected mid-day snowstorm during the Stored Procedures class. It took me over four hours to drive the 22 miles to my home. --John 202-502-2599 (or x 2599) "Jack A" <hrehal@yahoo.com> Sent by: owner-informix-list@iiug.org 08/14/2003 11:04 PM Please respond to "Jack A" To: informix-list@iiug.org cc: Subject: Re: Informix Training I'm in Orlando. The closest Informix training center for IBM is Atlanta. So I guess you're telling me Informix training from the IBM guys is pretty good. <John_Thomas@ao.uscourts.gov> wrote in message news:bhinsg$d8o$1@terabinaries.xmission.com... > > Hi Jack, > > Informix does provide training in a number of cities in the USA and also > in Europe, I think. > You didn't say where you're located, but there should be a city not too > far from your home-town. > > I'd seriously urge you to lobby your company to spring a few $$ for travel > (there are many budget > hotels and advance-reservation discount deals available from airlines > these days).
