Tab worked as a delimiter in 4.00; it doesn't work in 4.10.UC1 (on sun4). According to some correspondance I have on the subject, this is bug #11743, and it's supposed to be fixed in later versions of 4.10. In any case, 'delimiter "\\t"' isn't likely to work: the manuals for 4.10 say that what appears between the "s should be exactly one character, and there's no indication that it understands the C convention of \\t for tab. My guess is that you have to use an actual tab character between the quotes (or use DBDELIMITER, which is what I was doing). Hope this helps, ... -- Harry Bochner bochner@das.harvard.edu
