I have no knowledge of OnLine 5.0X or 6.0 but I have been using tbunload and tbload to read to and from files with OnLine 4.1. For example lets say I have a database called "junk" in the database space "datadbs". To use tbunload to save this database to disk I do the following touch junk.ckp tbunload -t junk.ckp -d datadbs junk To reload this database I use tbload -t junk.ckp -d datadbs junk This will work fine if your database resides totally within a single dbspace, as tbload will place all tables in the "checkpoint" in the one secified dbspace. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Phillip Drury. | | | SBC Australia Limited. | Email : pld@syd.au.swissbank.com | | Sydney Australia. | Next Email : drury@il.us.swissbank.com | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
