IDS Installation Problems
Hi There, =20 We have recently had 2 new servers put in place and we are going about installing the IDS on to the 2nd server which is the member server of the primary domain and is running Windows 2000 server. The version of IDS that we are installing on to this machine is 7.30.TC10. =20 The problem is that we run the install program and it appears to go through the process just fine, but when we do a restart after installation, all we have in the start>programs>informix is an uninstall icon. Now I have created prior to the installation a group on the member server called Informix-Admin, and made the user informix a member of that group and the local admins for that server, but still no joy.=20 =20 I have taken print screens of the whole process that I go through to install the IDS so you yourselves can get an idea of what I am being presented with, now from reading the manuals on install and everything I am sure I should be prompted for a lot more than it is prompting me for, but then again I could be wrong. Would you be able to take a look at the screens and hopefully tell me where I am going wrong, or what is wrong. Now this server is a member server of the main server which is the domain controller, now both machine are W2K Servers,and therefore they use Active Directory, could this be part of the problem?
