INTERVAL data type trouble

Hello all. I hve some problem with retrieving INTERVAL data type using Informix CLI 2.8 and Informix Dynamic Server 7.3 I create a table with column INTERVAL YEAR TO DAY. The function SQLColAttributes(hstmt, N, SQL_COLUMN_TYPE,...,&Type) return in type: -100. It meens "Undefined data type". Does anyone know how to work with INTERVAL data type usin CLI? Eugene.
