The compiled application } does not care a rat whisker about what kind of processor it is running } on. ANd niether does the 4GL preprocessor. (The C compiler.. well, it's } still highly unlikely.) I think that there is indeed a parallel 'c' compiler - I don't know if it is sold on HP MP machines or not. Certainly you don't have to worry about breaking out your SQL code - that will be handled by the engine in whatever fashion it needs, but if such a compiler exists then it would certainly make sense to take advantage of it for your front end apps. It makes sense that you could RUN the app in question on the MP machine without recompiling - it just wouldn't take full advantage. cheers j. ________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker - Hewlett Packard, DMD/IS Boise, Idaho, USA (x65388) jparker@boi.hp.com Currently on loan to CTSB/DTC ________________________________________________________________________ Outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend.
