Hi all, I have a trigger on an insert in table. Is there any way that i can suppress the trigger action on INSERT. In another word, i want to insert into the table but do not want the trigger to be fired. Any way to do that ? TIA, Nayan !

There is a disable triggers for table command, or something similar, RTFM I had limited success with this though, IIRC problems with locking the table during execution of the command. -- --------------------------------------- Tony Flaherty aef@mfs.misys.co.uk Analyst Programmer Misys Financial Systems All statements and opinions are my own, Misys don't pay me enough to have opinions on their behalf . SET TRIGGERS FOR mytable DISABLED;
INSERT INTO mytable .......
SET TRIGGERS FOR mytable ENABLED;

HI Buddy, You can use the statement set triggers on tablename to disabled. Then until you enable the trigger back the trigger will not fire. But you will need to be the DBA or be the owner of the table or have alter privilege on the table and resource privelege on the database.
