Sure, sperform.exe is only 7K or so, but it is basically just an exec() of "isql -fr formname", so it really requires sperform + isql, for more like 350KB or so. Your newperf is actually much smaller that the full isql + sperform set. If you run both isql and the engine in protected mode (pstartsql + pisql), you should be fine.
