They have an > "accounting" application that is OLTP. >Well, here's your problem: it's FourGen, isn't it? :-) Sorry Billy but even if it is FourGen, that might not be the problem, Kerry, remember that if you have many users running the same application it would be better to have the compiled version of 4GL instead of using the RDS, We have a customer with FourGen ( which i do not like ) and their performance from the Application and Database is just fine, their machine is J30 with AIX 4.x, 4 processors, 256 RAM, RAID LEVEL 5.
