Hi.
June is right. ARCUNLOAD is the only solution in your case. Just as an FYI,
though. ARCUNLOAD will read the tape multiple times ( maybe 4-5) times, till it
can retrieve your table(s), so do not assume that the program has gone beserk
and kill it ( like I did !! And then I had to restore the whole instance on
another machine to get my data back ) Anyway, thanks to a mail from June, I am
now a whole lot wiser !!

As has already been mentioned, ontape (and all the other backup
utilities)
will restore your chunks to the original pathname, overwriting your
production system.
