What if XPS (or IDS) goes open source...?

Reading this: *iTWire: Teradata Goes Open Source* http://www.linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2006-09-20-007-26-NW-DP-NV I wonder if XPS and/or IDS goes open source... it would be nice in my personal opinion. If you check out the ticker blurp it says nothing other than that Teradata is supporting Linux. It does not say that Teradata is open source.
