ontape & archecker

Hi Platform: IDS 9.21 UC5 - Solaris 8 Does anybody know why when a level 0 backup fails, archecker report that it's OK? Tonight my level 0 backup failed: Please mount tape 1 on gestion:/dev/rmt/2u and press Return to continue ... 10 percent done. 20 percent done. 30 percent done. 40 percent done. 50 percent done. Remote tape report: dd: unexpected short write, wrote 0 bytes, expected 65536 0+13366344 records in 758581+0 records out Archive failed - function write to tape failed code -1 errno 32 Program over. But my "archecker -tdsv" say that is all ok. Tables/Fragments validated: 683 I don’t know what kind of validations archecker utility is doing. Does it check that every database page is in the archive?
