Space on tape

I have the following questions regarding the on-tape utility:
1. I am using Informix 7.22 on SCO Unix 5.0.5. How can I check how much
space
the ontape backup occupies on the tape?
2. Currently I have a database with 6 dbspaces. The total capacity of
those is about 36 GB. The
ontape backup fits on one tape (DLTtape IV). If I increase the number
of dbspaces and
also the capacity to 150 GB will the ontape backup fit on one tape?
What I mean is that
does the ontape utility backup the total space allocated to dbspaces
either free of occupied by data)
or only the data?
Thanks,
Vasilis

If it will not fit on one tape, ontape will ask for second.
