I am purchasing one tested procedure to migrate a complete Online which had been installed on a File System to a Raw device. I have an idea how I should proceed : -ontape -s -L 0 -onmode -ky -rename of the File System used by the Informix Intance -modify the ROOTPATH variable in onconfig to the new raw-device disk -oninit -i -ontape -r. The Online treated has only one chunk (root_chunk). My Online has indexes, contraints and triggers. What I want ? : Has anybody tested a similar procedure??? Thanks. You do not need the oninit -i since the ontape -r essentially does just that.

Won't work - the names of the "devices" is burned into the archive, so it will want to verify they exist and have the same size etc. BUT - you could replace those file names with symbolic links pointing to the raw devices. Or just export & import the databases into a fresh configuration.
