Join IIUG via E-Mail
You can now join the International Informix Users Group (IIUG) via e-mail! Membership in IIUG is open to everyone within the Informix User Community, including end-users, vendors, and employees of Informix Software, Inc. As a way of introducing IIUG to Informix users worldwide, we have declared the period continuing through December 31, 1996, to be a Free Charter Membership Period. During this time, membership in IIUG is free of charge to anyone completing a Membership Application or joining through their local user group. Instructions and an E-Mail Membership Application form can be found in the file "/pub/informix/iiug/memb_app.txt" on either of the IIUG archive sites, ftp.iiug.org (IP 128.117.71.100) or ftp.mathcs.emory.edu (IP 199.76.28.1). Enter the requested data between the square brackets ("[]"). You may leave any fields that don't apply to you blank. 2. The form will be automatically scanned, so please don't change any field names to the left of the ":", and don't place any "]" characters within your data. 3. The spacing between the "[]" characters shows the maximum length for each data item. When filling out the form, you do not need to maintain this spacing. You may move the "]" so that it immediately follows your data if that is more convenient in your editor. 4. The e-mail address you supply should be the one where you want to receive any announcements, etc., sent by IIUG. This does not have to be same address as the one from which you send your application. 5. IIUG may occasionally participate in a controlled manner with its sponsors or other vendors to send out information that we think members will find of interest. If you do not want to receive such information, change the "Y" to "N" in the box marked "Receive Info". 6. E-mail your completed form to "membership@iiug.org". You will receive an automatic reply acknowledging receipt of your application. This message will contain the data that was scanned from your application, plus your IIUG Member Number. Please make a note of your Member Number since you may need to supply it to receive certain membership benefits such as discounts, etc. After one of the IIUG staff has reviewed your entry, the application process will be complete. 7.
