It is not clear whether this is completely sufficient or completely safe, and it is horribly unsupported. However, it has been known to work in many circumstances. I never said anything, especially if you subsequently run into problems! Also, why aren't the tables created with the correct owner tags? It is much simpler to avoid the problem. As long as you're a DBA, you can do: CREATE TABLE 'someone'.SomeTable (...); Where 'someone' is not yourself. I don't think you can do that if you're not a DBA. I do this automatically with MODE ANSI databases, and it can be done systematically with non-ANSI databases if the owner matters, which it clearly does. Tools like DB-Schema and DB-Export both preserve owner names when they generate schema files...
