Hi, On a NT4, when I complete configuration with Setnet32 a message appear : "Couldn't open the registry" Can somebody help me! I read "Installation Guide" who say to copy HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Informix on HKEY_USERS\\Default\\Software. I run regcopy who say "Registry succedded". Thank's in advance. You're probably trying this on a Win9* ws. Go to Setnet32's Environment tab, and clear the value in INFORMIXSQLHOSTS (probably your machine name). That should solve it. If not, use regedit to delete the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Informix\\SQLHOSTS, and try again. Itamar Haber M.N.S. This problem occurs, when someone who is not a member of the admin-group tries to save changes in setnet. This happens because on most NT-machines the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, where the definition of reachable DB-Servers resides, is changable for admin-group members only. Login as a member of this group and setup DB-Servers properly. Since DB-Servers are stored user-independent You can afterwards ignore the message "Could not open registry", because I didn't detect any situation, where user-dependent information cound not be stored. So only Changes to DB-Server will be ignored.
