In order to use the front-end tools and the database tools, there are three things that we need to set up: 1)INFORMIXDIR points to the database server location. 2)Create soft-links under $INFORMIXDIR that point to the front-end tools location. 3)Ensure the front-end tools bin directory is in the beginning of the PATH, and $INFORMIXDIR/bin is within the PATH as well. Everything was working well with us. Until the latest version of the front-end product (v7.20 UD4). Does anyone out there have the same problem?
