Hi Kagel,
yeh, I know that I can initialize those stats by onstat -z,but if not, are
they initialized when the table is closed by the last user. becose I want to
use those stats in my scipts.
Can you please tel me when rows are insered to sysptprof. and is there any
difference between temp tables and normal tables.
Thanks lot !!

It would probably help you to know that sysptprof is a view, not a
table. Here's the definition of it:
CREATE VIEW "informix".sysptprof (
dbsname,
tabname,
partnum,
lockreqs,
lockwts,
deadlks,
lktouts,
isreads,
iswrites,
isrewrites,
isdeletes,
bufreads,
bufwrites,
seqscans,
pagreads,
pagwrites)
AS SELECT
x0.db sname,
x0.tabname,
x1.partnum,
x1.pf_rqlock,
x1.pf_wtlock,
x1.pf _deadlk,
x1.pf_lktouts,
x1.pf_isread,
x1.pf_iswrite,
x1.pf_isrwr ite,
x1.pf_isdelete,
x1.pf_bfcread,
x1.pf_bfcwrite,
x1.pf_seqsca ns,
x1.pf_dskreads,
x1.pf_dskwrites
FROM "informix".systabnames x0, "informix".sysptntab x1
WHERE (x0.partnum = x1.partnum ) ;
This obviously doesn't answer all of your questions, especially the ones
about just exactly what it is that increments each of the columns, but
it might help you out anyway.
