Using Informix ODBC with connection manager

Hi Guys, We are going to use Informix connection manager to manage connectivity among our database instances (Primary, HDR and RSS) as per following article but I am not sure what I will be using as ODBC settings as host name, service etc. because, when connection manager manages connections among multiple servers, host name will not be unique every time. Any cluses or inputs in this matter is highly appreciated. Hello. As soon as you implement your CM, it will be a "network gateway" for your production cluster (and maybe redirect your connections to any cluster node, according to your CM defined policy). So, your ODBC connection will be changed from your database, to your CM hostname/port. You must change your clients sqlhosts (or registry information), to go through your CM, instead of just connecting directly to your Informix server. Hope it helps. Regards. Hi Alexandre, Thanks a lot for your reply post. Later I found in another IBM redbook that ODBC connections need to use connection manager server's host as host name as well as the SLA name for Informix server name. Could you list an example of using CM host's ports as well ? Ex: sqlhosts file and connecion manager config file lines. Regards - Sanjeewa
