A dbspace can hold up to 2047 chunks (less rootdb and any other chunks since this is also the system maximum). However, a single fragment of a table, or an unfragmented table, cannot exceed 16MM pages (16,777,216 pages or 32GB). If you have a table or fragment that is approaching that limit it is time to refragment that table across multiple dbspaces. Art S.
