Informix iconnect 7.2 and gls

My setnet is 9.20 2.20TC1 and the sqleditor is 3.01 TC1. Iconnect was installed completely. The nls of the database is en_US .The Informix db-server is 7.31.UC3-1 If I clear the variable CLIENT_LOCALE and set DB_LOCALE to en_US (... or clear it ... it's all the same) then sqleditor never starts (unable to locate the locale or conversation file en_US . Check file system ... and so on). Now I set CLIENT_LOCALE to en_US.CP1252 (... only one example) and DB_LOCALE to en_US (remember: the nls from the database is en_US). Then the same error message appears. Same procedure if I configure en_US.819 or en_US.8859-1 and so on ... But if I set CLIENT_LOCALE and DB_LOCALE to en_US.819 my sqleditor301 starts. Then I can choose and connect the system-databases in my network (because they are en_US.819 (tricky...tricky)). But if I connect to my en_US-database the message: unable to locate the locale the locale or conversation file en_US. Check file system ... and so on. Can anybody give me a tip what configuration is the correct one ? Look for script $INFORMIXDIR/bin/glfiles. Read comments. "...this script : creates three files in the current directory, "lcX.txt", : "cvY.txt" and "cmZ.txt", that list the locale object files, : codeset conversion object files and charmap source files that : exist in those directories, respectively." Invoke it and see output files. Or look for $INFORMIXDIR/gls/cm3/registry. For your current database (if connected) from SQL-Editor run select site from systables where tabname matches " GL*" It's databases locale. Databases locale depends on variable DB_LOCALE when it's created.
