Performance tuning suggestions needed
Posted in 2006
A poster dumped an entire ONCONFIG file (IDS 7.31.UD6W4 on HP-UX 11.00, OLTP) and simply asked for performance-tuning suggestions. Respondents said they couldn't help without details: hardware, CPU count, memory, workload type, the specific symptom and the tuning goal. Side comments noted DBSPACETEMP is documented as a colon-separated list (though commas reportedly work too), and that TAPEDEV/LTAPEDEV set to /dev/null means no archives and no log backups. The poster only supplied version/OS/workload type, so no actual tuning advice or resolution is recorded in the thread.

True, although commas work too ...
You want performance tuning suggestions,
is there a particular problem you are trying to solve or do you just
want it to "go faster"?
if so, is there any more bandwidth available on the machine?
Also, I note you want it to go fast but you don't appear to care if it
all goes wrong :

so no archives and no transaction logging?
