I don't really see what the problem is here 1) I report a 'potential' bug with the version of informix available on IIUG 2) This bug is confirmed by an IBM staffer 3) He also confirms that the bug is fixed in a later version. 3) I ask how we might get such a fixed version on IIUG. 4) You go off and start banging on about support contracts - I'm afraid don't see the connection. -- Clive
i talking about support becasue what you ar elooking for is support on anunsupported download product, unless the IIUG are now providing support for free too so you look like you need more than just the basic unsupported download that IIUG provides the UC5Wx version that reportedly resolves your problem is not a fully GA product its a special build, the GA release that will have all the fixes in UC5Wx is UC6 the IIUG may be able to provide it but I suspect that IBM would prefer to provide to only provide GA releases as evals on the IIUG website if you have a sales opportunity its time to involve your account team and to have a loook at partner world
Fred - Is there a way to get Clive a copy of the fixed IDS v10? Although it would mean substituting the production code for the IIUG version, it would probably do wonders to help Clive make a sale by adding some brownie points for IBM responsiveness!
