Please don't post in HTML .... You have a mismatch in the services file, under NT there's one in $WINNT/system32/drivers/etc and under Win98 its $WINDOWS and not $WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc David Gutierrez wrote: > > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. > > ------=_NextPart_000_00C2_01BF8796.331324C0 > Content-Type: text/plain; > charset="iso-8859-1" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > Hello All, Thanks in Advance. > > We have a NT Informix Dynamic Server 7.3 called (tecnico), and a = > client have installed Windows 98 and ODBC Driver 3.31 32 Bit, when we = > created the DSN to access Informix Server (ol_tecnico) and executed the = > Driver-Test Connection this COULDN`T established and shows a message = > like that "Test Connection was NOT sucessfull, Cannot locate turbo = > service/tcp service in /etc/services". > > We have on local machine a Dsn With this Values: > > Server Name: ol_tecnico > Host: tecnico > Service: turbo > protocol: olsoctcp > databasename: baandb > user: informix > Passwd: ********* > > on local machine, Files Configuration in: > system32\\drivers\\etc\\services.
