No, the web server is a different computer.
Database: IDS 7.24 on IBM/AIX
Web: IIS 4.0 on HP/Intel - NT 4.0
The database is listening on a port as defined in sqlhosts:
#Server_name Protocol Host_name Service_name
prod_tcp onsoctcp * sqlexec
On the database server, /etc/services file:
sqlexec 1234/tcp # the actual number is not important, but it
must be unique
On the web server, c:\\winnt\\system32\\drivers\\etc\\services file:
sqlexec 1234/tcp # the number must match database server
Web server setnet32 settings:
Informix Server prod_tcp
Protocolname onsoctcp
Service Name sqlexec
The connect string requires all of that stuff again:
"DSN=SystemDSN;UID=user;PASSWORD=passwd;DB=dbname;HOST=hostname;SERV=sqlexec
;SRVR=server_name;PRO=onsoctcp;UID=user;"

dear sir.
Is your web server and database server on the same machine?
We separate it into difference servers and the SERV entry already in the
service file is on the database server.
I have tried your suggestion, but I still fail!
Any idea or suggestion can give me?
Thanks!

Thanks Paul, I still fail!
I think the version of informix ODBD driver [INTERSOLV 3.11 32-BIT INFORMIX
9] may not work on ASP.
Really thanks for your help!
