I have uploaded an updated version of my popular utils2_ak package to the
IIUG Software Repository. The new version, dated in the README.1st file
as of August 19, 2000, contains a few bug fixes and a few new features:
dostats:
New -E option to report runtimes in hours/mins/secs for large tables.
myschema:
Bug fix to -e option
Workaround Informix bug afecting stored procedure output. Some
procedures are stored in the database without the required closing
semi-colon. Myschema now supplies one as dbexport does apparently.
Fixed a long standing bug which trashed stored procedures containing
a percent (%) character in the source.
Fixed a bug in table level privileging which erroneously output
ALL privilege for any table with REFERENCE privilege. Also column
privileging was being ignored if table level was ALL.
Added support for tables with NCHAR and NVCHAR column types.
Walt should have the new version online at the Repository in a day or a few.

That release date should be August 29, 2000.

IDS.2000 (as well as earlier 9.xx versions) is supported for any schema that would be legal and possible in 7.31. Myschema already handles the long identifiers and other system catalog changes needed to support IDS.2000. Myschema does not currently support IDS.2000 specific features such as SERIAL8, INTEGER8, LVARCHAR, BOOLEAN, Sets, MultiLists, Lists, Row types, Collections, other inheritence, UDTs, etc. I intend to support these eventually but time is the factor. Note that myschema is open source so anyone who wishes to pitch in can contact me. Note that the new version is now online but the shar did not include ul.ec or printfreeB.ec. I have sent Walt a new one so anyone who does not have these (they have not changed in a few months) should wait a day or two to download (if you see the file ends in the now defunct note in the myschema.README about the suspected problem with getopt on Sun you are seeing the truncated version the corrected version ends with the source for printfreeB.ec).
