Is it possible to access/manipulate an informix databank directly from Visual basic?? how do i do this??

Yes, just install the Informix, or other compatible, ODBC driver, define the ODBC datasource, and poof. The Informix ODBC driver is free with the Informix SDK which also includes Informix Embedded SQL in C, the native C++ interface, native CLI (ODBC) library API, and other development tools. You can download the SDK from the IntraWare WEB Site. Art S. Kagel
