I test to configure a Informix server enough with protocol TCP/IP but I do
not manage to launch the engine whereas it functions in local mode.
Configuration
In onconfig:
NETYPE ipcshm,3,2,CPU
NETYPE soctct,3,3,NET
In sqlhost :
mickey_srv onipcshm mickey mickey_service
mickey_tcp onsoctcp mickey mickey_service2
an address IP is allotted to Mickey in hosts.
Thank you for your consulting

Mes salutations.

Before you buy.
What IDS version and what platform, OS, and version? We need to know
these things to help you. For example there are known network problems
with certain Linux releases and certain IDS versions. Please post
additional information.

Which platform? Which version?
If you're using 7.30.UC5 on Linux, then you need to upgrade to
7.30.UC7 (if I'm remembering my versions right). If you're on
some other platform, there's probably a different answer.
You probably need to ensure that you've got the DBSERVERALIASES
set and the services listed in /etc/services or NIS/NIS+.
