In article <3mbl54$4m3@cssun.mathcs.emory.edu>, naomi@anasazi.com says most eloquently... You're right...I shoulda clarified my answer. I was implying that in the event the person couldn't unload the data to some place equal to the size of the table, in an unload file, they could at least adjust the NEXT extents until they find some way to clean up the >8 extented tables. And as long as I'm responding, 4.00 extent calculations can be found in the 4.00 On-Line Programmer's Manual, page 51. I admit to using them for 5.01 without getting into trouble, as I could not find the 5.01 variation on this. The 5.01 Data Base Admin Guide covers a lot of good ground, but I did not see the extent calcs--maybe I wan't looking in the right place. Anyway fix your extents soon... :-) And if someone would be kind enough to let me know where those 5.0 extent calcs are I'd be most grateful.
