I'm just trying to get a first run of CLIJAVA (D4GL V 3.0)going. Having gone through the steps, I gotten to the point where the documented test http://web_server/servlets/cjac?TEST works. I went to the next step of editing the cjac.cnf file to get the "ia" test running (my web and application servers are on two different machines, therfore I "rsh runwout.sh" as documented). Bringing up the test.html in my browser loads the starts the applet and loads the cja.class then all that happens is the "Please wait ...." message runs continuously.. I know there are many variable in setting up the cjac.cnf (based on software and hardware configuration). Is there a way to debug the cjac.cnf in any manner? I really just need to know why its hanging... or even if it's acceping my "cjac.app....." settings. Thanks for any assistance... Did you complete the first step of running ia demo from local server? I strongly recommend this. > Bringing up the test.html in my browser loads the > starts the applet and loads the cja.class then > all that happens is the "Please wait ...." > message runs continuously.. Use "View Java console" option in your browser to obtain more details about what is the problem. If you are using Sun Java plug-in, then activat this window in Java Control Panel > I know there are many variable in setting up the > cjac.cnf (based on software and hardware > configuration). > Is there a way to debug the cjac.cnf in any > manner? Most likely you have a problem with Swing or environment variables for your application. One way to get environment from cjac.cnf is: #cjac.app."contact".arg = "(env; cd $(MAXDIR)/gprog; exec $(FGLDIR)/bin/fglrun contact.42r)" Note the env; See my web site for running examples of CLI-Java and more info. > I really just need to know why its hanging... > or even if it's acceping my "cjac.app....." > settings. > > Thanks for any assistance... > > Zion Mahangoo > Raytheon Engineers & Constructors > > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ > Before you buy. > -- Yours, Andrej Falout, http://www.falout.com ICQ 7628616 ++64.21.607517 #----------------------------------------------------------------- globals "std_disclaimer.4gl" Ask yourself just one question: ' Qu' m's se puede hacer y aprender ? - Propellerhead ReBirth RB-338 manual
Thank you Andrej Falout <afalout@xtra.co.nz> for your java console pointer... Once again I'm trying to run the ia example. It has lead me to the following error showing up in the Java Console: 4,970 Debug: APLTERR(Thread-30): Applet: Oops,...: com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx [com/fourjs/fgl/client/io/http/HttpIOStream.get]: java.io.IOException: bad path: \\servlets\\cjac?RUN=0&REF=10604815 Error: at: com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx [com/fourjs/fgl/client/io/http/HttpIOStream.get]: java.io.IOException: bad path: \\servlets\\cjac?RUN=0&REF=10604815 I thought this would have been taken care of when, as documented, I entered Servlet Aliase:- servlet.cjac.code=com.fourjs.communication.CJAC in the \\Apache JServ\\conf\\zone.properties file. My assumption is based on the fact that the documented tests:- "http://localhost/servlets/fglTestServlet" and "http://localhost/servlets/cjac?TEST" worked. Any futher assistance will be apreciated..
