If so, the recovery implications seem clear. You can use your most recent "dbspace full" archive to recover each of the inactive dbspaces to their precise state, then your nightly archives to recover the active dbspaces to their state at the time of the last back-up. This seems obvious; am I missing something in your question? What is the thinking behind this unorthodox approach? What are the requirements that you are so satisfying?
