RAID10 vs RAID60

I am working with my network team to replace some 5+ year old hardware for my Informix/Webserver environment. We are running IDS 12.10 on SLES 11 in a virtual (VMWare) environment. Our dbspace is approximately 250GB and accessed pretty heavily from a cluster of load balanced Apache servers. I know that RAID5 isn't recommended (https://www.askdbmgt.com/why-raid5-should-be-avoided-at-all-costs.html), but my networking team and hardware vendor (Tegile) is recommending RAID60. I am hesitant to use any RAID level that utilizes parity, but this is way beyond my area of expertise, and I'm curious to hear recommendations from the community.
