I posted a question to CDOS once asking if there were a Software Repository or somesuch like the IIUG site. I got a small number of pointers to some shabby private WEB sites like Tim and others maintain for Informix but not nearly as nice. Found maybe a dozen PLSQL scripts at each. Opened three tech support cases and each time I was faxed a pre-prepared how-to-fix-this-broken-thingy response after an hour on hold once and twice having to wait for callbacks. Oracle Support? It is to laugh! Art S. I had similar horrid experiences with their ProC compiler. I had an obvious problem that only occurred after a certain number of times a ProcC internal function was called. When I tried to get support, they wanted the source to recreate it. When I sent it, they told me it was too complex. When I shortened the code, the problem went away. Unfortunately, they told me that that was obviously the fix. 'Make your program simpler!' Wonderful. Now it does what it's coded to do, but not what the project manager wants it to do. You aren't helping.
