Accordingly to the output of your onstat command,
the Application logged a Begin Work, then after you issue
the onmode -z, actually Informix will need to rollback the work
for that session, now my question is, Have you checked that
log space is available for that rollback?. That might be the
reason, probably your process has logged many sql statements
and it needs space to roll them back.
