Currently you must buy a license for every PC from Informix. There where a rumour that it would become free but I wouldn't count on that. Also a better option is to buy a server based driver like the onse from OpenLink. (http://www.openlinksw.com). You need only as many licenses as you will have simultaneous users. The MS Windows part of the driver can be installed freely on any number of PC's. All ODBC drivers have some component that must be installed on every PC, but the server based onse have the advantage that the PC part is usually very simple to install. :also do I need to buy an ODBC licence for every PC or is this a :distribute-able resource with my application. Se above. :Please CC any replys to robbo@blakehop.demon.co.uk :Thanks in advance for your help : :Regards :-- :Allan Robson :Tech-sys engineer :Exacta circuits ltd Nils.Myklebust@idg.no NM Data AS, P.O.Box 9090 Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company The Informix FAQ is at http://www.iiug.org
