No primary chunk

Hi, When restarting Informix, I received the following message, no primary chunk / bad primary chunk Does anybody know what the problem is? What procedures do I need to recover the data in the database? Many thanks. Sunny

Sunny, You'll need to answer some questions first: 1. Are you using cooked (UNIX file system) or raw disk for your dbspaces? 2. In either case, how have you set up the root dbspace - what device is used how big is it, and what's in it (logs, data???). 3. What version of Informix database are you using, what hardware platform and operating system arre your running with. 4. Please examine the online log and report any logging that indicates a problem. Please provide this information.
