In the same breath - Informix & DB2
Posted in 2006
Greetings; I have been following the email threads on informix-list related to how Informix always seems to get a back seat to DB2 when IBM talks about "Database Management". My company uses the spatial extensions for both Informix and DB2 for spatial analysis (GIS). The following is part of an email I received from within my company regarding a webcast by an IBM employee related to "IBM's Database Products" and how they relate to our GIS software. I found this line most interesting: > overview/update of the ESRI/IBM database management product > intersect (DB2 and Informix).
